It was dawn
I decided to go, at last
to get out from that house
which had been for so long mine
heavy and grim the atmosphere
divergences and aloofness
great like mountains
never a word of love
never a smile
but…silences
The only deliverance
from the everlasting oppression
to run quickly away
and the day came
It was dawn
the first day-lights peeping
from the horizon
and aimless
I closed behind me that door
only a lean cat in the avenue and
just some streetlights
still lightening the houses
inside me a faint hope
to hear a familiar voice
crying out my name
Not far the sea and its waves
rhythmically breaking
against the rocks
I found myself there
shivering with cold
yet could clearly hear
coming from the deep waters
a caressing voice
and i let me go to its inviting call
My heart stopped beating
my lungs breathing
but I could see
shortly after
some passers by
looking at my lifeless body and
from a distance hear
their voices whisper
a drowned man…a drowned man

to the birds chirping
among the tree tops
or in the open air
To the winds whispering
softly moving the leaves
yellow or green
or the rain lazily falling
on the rooftops
The bubbling of the brook
that merry goes down
the mountain
the lively chatter of the waves
chasing each other
to have fun
The songs of the wolves
to the moon
at night
the sound of the owls
in the thick forest
the buzzing of the bees
while courting flowers
This the orchestra
that fascinates me
the only for which
I don't pay for tickets
The special orchestra
playing its magnificent pieces
in disparate scenarios
always follow me
wherever I go

A late afternoon
It is a late afternoon
the weather rainy
The windows closed
for the wind outside
thunders shake me
from the slumber
The radio is on
playing old songs
while a veil of melancholy
sweetly touches my heart
The boredom makes me wander
around the lonely house
listlessly,I sit at the desk
and my gaze falls
on the locked drawer
on my side
I feel a sudden urge
of rummaging inside
where small objects
papers and old photos
are grouped with care
A folded letter is there too
as waiting for someone
to look inside
It is a poem
a love poem
a poem of sometime before
I read it and then
again and again
while some tears begin
slowly flowing down my face
Had I forgotten it
Thinking of that
I hear our door bell ringing
and quickly
wipe my tears
and go to open
傍晚时分
那是傍晚时分
阴雨绵绵
窗户紧闭
窗外风声呼啸
雷声震颤
我从沉睡中惊
收音机开着
播放着老歌
此时一层忧郁的薄纱
温柔地拂过我的心田
无聊感驱使我
在空荡荡的房子里徘徊

From the golden pen of Dr Monio Miragla, one of the most significant writers of contemporary times and also a humanitarian who holds the light of reason that the word is need of, ‘Doncing winds' is a collection poems of sublime beauty and profundity. The spirit of the poetess Maria A Miraglia lies primarily in the ability to let her go reaching the depths of the Self, reflecting it and then detailing it in poetry. Often her introspection goes beyond her own Self as a single identity so touching themes and issues common to the modern civilization, her verses unfold inside the human dualism carnality, often suspended between, alchemy and suggestion.

Sophy Chen, Lihua Chen, born in Lueyang, Hanzhong, Shannxi Province, China, is the Chinese contemporary poet, translator, publisher and world poetry manager. She graduated from English Institute of Xi'an International Studies University in English Literature.
